CLAIRE MITCHELL
ACTOR.
DIRECTOR.
EDUCATOR.
Claire Mitchell is an AEA-eligible actor, director, and educator born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Hoping to harness her boisterous voice and boundless energy, Claire’s parents enrolled her in her first acting class at age seven - and she hasn’t looked back since.
Claire continued to cultivate her craft at institutions including Interlochen Arts Academy, Boston University, and LAMDA. She is currently completing her senior year at Boston University, where she is earning a degree in Theatre Arts (Performance) with a minor in Psychology. After Graduation, she is planning on moving to New York City, and has local housing in Chicago and Boston.
As an actor, director, and educator, Claire’s work centers the beautiful universality of human connection across time, from classical texts to new work. She has dedicated much of her training to classical theatre and strives to create more space for queer voices within the classical canon.
Outside of the theatre, Claire enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, and making cups of tea for her friends.
About Claire.
REViEWS
“Among the ensemble, several performances stood out. Claire Mitchell shone as Witch 3 and the 2nd Murderer, embodying the scientist concept with the most conviction”
BOOKED AND SCENE
“The pairing of Claire Mitchell and Chingwe Padraig Sullivan as the murderers was particularly effective — they brought a delightfully daft energy to their scenes, blending airheadedness with hilariously expressive physicality. Their performances made the murderers seem both inept and blindly loyal, offering unexpected levity without undercutting the tension.”
POPULAR REVIEW
“Watching (Claire Mitchell) silently reset a scene, observe an interrogation, and brainwash another actor is bone-chilling.”
